What is Mindfulness for Wellbeing in Schools?

Is your school facing challenges with stress, anxiety, and burnout? Our 6-week online mindfulness course can help. This course is based on Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programs. It is designed to improve educational outcomes, decrease teacher burnout, and increase happiness for staff and students. The course is delivered online, so you can learn at your own pace.

Why THIS Course?

This course has been designed by Professionals, for Professionals and offers a unique blend of evidence-based tools from Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).  It answers the question "What is Mindfulness?". These elements are taught in the context of proven principles and combined with skills taken from the disciplines of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Positive Psychology.​

Course Director

Carmel Farnan

Carmel Farnan holds a BSc (Hons) Psychology degree and is a professional Psychotherapist ,with a private clinical practice in Ireland for the last 25 years.
​
She has lectured internationally as a Mindfulness Trainer for over 20 years.

As a graduate member of the British Psychological Society Carmel adopts this professional Code of Ethics in all aspects of Mindfulness Courses she designs and delivers ,at the Irish Mindfulness Academy.
